Bad Attempt

Good afternoon peeps! are you enjoying your Saturday .. hope the weather is better in your neck of the woods ? it's dull,dingy & damp here in Staffordshire :(

Please dont laugh at my sad attempt at what you are about to see,lol I bought this little hanging thingy the other day and thought I'd have a go at... well, not sure what I was going to do with it really ... anyway, after looking at it for a while and pondering, I decided to use Distress inks on it... Antique Linen was my 1st colour then added a bit of Rusty Hinge, still not convinced it looked right I then decided to use one of my Swirl stamps on it using Forest Moss.... BIG MISTAKE, it looked ok at first but then the inks started to bleed ~ still determined not to give in I came up with the idea of adding a bit of sparkle to cover the runs so added some Glamour Dust ... so this is the end result, not very good I know but at least I tried something new and I will learn by my mistakes ... I can always hang it in the loo,lol

    wooowwwwwww lizzy this is so stunning.there is nowt wrong with it!!!.i love the colours and the swirls and fab images.love the gingham bows too.you know where to send it if you don`t like it :) but really hun its gorgeous.i would hang it with pride :) luv coops.xxx

    there is nothing wrong with it the belnding just adds to the distressed feel of it, the images are coloured beautifully xxx

    You mad woman ! This is lovely, I would have it in my house. I think you have done really well and been very brave in giving it a go :-) If you really dont like it then you could always give it as a present. If I and everyone else loves it then whoever you give it to as a present would love it too :-)

    I cant see much wrong with it, it looks great and nothing is a waste of time thats how we learn and improve. If you dont think its good enough then send it over to somerset, the weather is not much better here. Margaret
